A woman has been charged with murder after she allegedly struck a man with her car on Sunday evening.
When officers arrived on Sunday shortly before 6pm at Stoneywood Street in Fernvale, they found Bradley Bullock, 50, unresponsive.
The 50-year-old father of three was declared deceased at the scene, having been struck by a vehicle outside the home.
Bullock had just celebrated his wedding anniversary with wife.
Police arrested a 45-year-old woman, who they said was known to the man, and was allegedly driving the vehicle on a disqualified licence.
On Sunday, officers established a crime scene along Stoneywood Street.
On Monday morning, Police Minister Dan Purdie was asked to respond to claims officers had been called to a house on the strip previously.
“It would be totally inappropriate for me to indicate any previous incident or activity while that investigation is just in its infancy,” he said.
That afternoon, officers charged the woman with murder (domestic violence) and driving while disqualified.
She was due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
