A woman died and her husband and daughter were injured when a lorry hit their motorcycle near Ninth Mile Thanda in Tekulapally mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as K. Uma, 32, a native of Kommugudem in Tekulapally mandal. Her husband, Mohan, and daughter, Jaithra, were injured in the accident.
According to police, the accident occurred when the lorry, which was travelling from Kodad in Suryapet district to KTPS at Palvancha, hit the motorcycle carrying the three family members.
Mohan was taking his wife and daughter to Kothagudem from their native village for some work when the accident occurred. Uma died on the spot.
Tekulapally police registered a case and launched an investigation.
