Roman Reigns pinned Sami Zayn
Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn grade
By far the best match on the card. Roman looked great, and now he gets the Crown Jewel title. No Penta, so it looks like he’ll leave Saudi Arabia with his trophy. Triple H is out. Sami said there’s something he needs to say. Sami offes Roman a handshake. Roman is thinking, thinking, thinking. Sami said he owes him a handshake. And Roman owes him respect. Roman pushes away his hand and hugs him. They embarace. Very cool! Sami raises Roman’s hand. Roman raises Sami’s hand. Sami cries as he leaves. HHH shakes his hand. Very cool. Roman yelled “Make them respect you.”

Roman Reigns accepts the title and shows it off. Roman was alone. No Bloodline. HHH puts on the ula fala on Roman as he acknowledges the crowd. Roman gets the mic. Nothing better than Roman promo. He said “Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Acknowldge me!” The fans do. He drops the microphone. Emotional day. It was a great show. I only didn’t like the Chelsea Green match because they punked her out, but now she’s the challenger, I’m ok with it. The show is over.
Oh grade, 94 out of 100.
Roman Reigns beats Sami Zayn
No surprise here, this was a great match. Roman Reigns made Sami Zayn look great. Zayn made Roman look great. They are both down. Roman didn’t eat him up, he made Sami look incredible, which isn’t that hard to do. But they put on a good match. Lot of drama.

Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn
We only have one match left. I had to restart the app because it was freezing every 30 seconds. Today was the best ESPN experience until that match. Usually it freezes during commercials, but today it was every 15 seconds during the women’s match. But this is why we all came! It’s time for the leader of the Bloodline vs. Honory Uce! Sami is out first. Now pardon me, I have to ackowledge Roman Reigns. I covered SummerSlam live when it was in NJ, and I didn’t stand and ackowledge him because I’m a professional. I hope it didn’t hurt his feelings. But Roman is coming out and hel ooks focused. And he’s hustling to the ring. Never see that! He’s talking trash, eyes locked firmly on Sami. I imagine this will be fun.
So Roman Reigns is the good guy. He cannot be an underdog. He can lose, but he can’t get his ass beat the entire match. However, in Saudi Arabia, Sami is the good guy. By far. Roman slaps Sami around a little. But now Sami is in control for a little. Until Roman fights back.
The battle continues with Roman controling the action. He hits a big suplex and Roman is slowing picking his foe apart. Fans are strongly behing Sami. Roman is laughing at the fans before hitting a drive by.
Sami takes more abuse before hitting a Blue Thunder Bomb. Now he’s setting up a Helluva kick, but he missed and Reigns escapes to the outside. Zayn hits a dive on Roman and he throws the Tribal Chief back in the ring. He goes to the top, misses a dive and gets a Superman punch. But he kicks out at 2.
Roman was setting up a spear, but he eats a Helluva kick for a two and a half! Roman went for another Superman Punch, but he hits the ref. Sami hits an exploder and a Helluva kick. Charles Robinson comes out, but only gets a two count. So Sami hits Robinson with a Helluva kick. Sami goes to the outside and grabs a belt. Didn’t see which one, not Crown Jewel one. Reigns ducks, hits a superman punch but Sami kicks out at two!
Roman is explaining how he respects Sami. Then tehy slap each other. They’re exchanging blows in the center of the ring. Not smart by Sami and Roman knocks him down. Sami demands Roman keep coming. Sami says give me everything you got. Roman hits a Superman punch. He went for another but ate an exploder. Before he can hit a kick, he gets a Superman punch. Then he goes for a spear, but Sami with a Superman punch. Now Sami went for a spear, but Reigns hits the spear. Roman looks impressed. They are both on their knees, trying to catch their breath. This is fun, different and exciting. Roman hits a giant spear. And that’s it.
Chelsea Green vs. Liv Morgan grade
That match gets like a 75 because it discredited Green the entire time. She scored a lucky win, and then is punked out by her friend. But I did like the cash in and think it’ll be fun going forward. I’ll give it an 82.

Chelsea Green beats Liv Morgan
Not a great match, but the win was fun. However, after the match, Tifffany Stratton cashes in Money in the Bank and we have a new champion. Tiffany Stratton leaves with Smackdown title, Green leaves with nothing. For some reason, Stratton won the Crown Jewel too. That match was over. She doesn’t deserve it. Hopefully HHH makes it right!
Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green
No Dirty Dom! II don’t like when the people sing their way to the ring. I don’t know why. Liv does it, Rhea did it, Julia Hart does it. Liv checks out the Crown Jewel title, and now she’s making eyes at the gold. She wants to win her second. Her comes Chelsea Green. Liv yawns as Chelsea comes out. It’s so funny. It’s time to go!
They tie up and they do some back and forth. Chelsea looks like she’s doubting herself. And Michael Cole calledher avearge. I love the underdog stuff, but this is awful. And Liv goes to help Chelsea up and cheap shots her, so not only is Green a loser, she’s stupid. She fires back and hits some moves, but Morgan hits a clothesline and takes control. If the goal is to make Chelsea look terrible, the booking is pefect! Liv is crushing her with big boots. Morgan throws her from the corner and hits a drop kick. The announcers say she has no confidence and hasn’t done much so far. But there she hits an elbow. But Morgan retaliates with a Codebreaker and gets a two count. I love how this match makes Liv look, she deserves it, but Green? She probably deserves better. Morgan just put Chelsea on a Boston crab from the middle rope. Never saw that before.
Green is down, Liv is stalking her. Morgan hits three amigos. And a running kick, but only gets two. So now Graves said Liv isn’t trying. WWE must not be a great place for women’s wrestlers if the champion is a loser with no confidence and can get beat with ease. The TV just skpped and Morgan is hurt. No idea what Green did, but both are down. Thanks ESPN! It was a superplex. Green now has the edge. That was short lived. Get it? Liv-ed? Morgan hits another Codebreaker, but only gets a two count. Morgan went for a backstabber but missed. They trade moves and pinfall attempts, Morgan still in control. Oh, now they’re saying Liv didn’t plan on being out this long. Chelsea hits a German suplex and a Ruff Ryder but only gets two. The ESPN fed isn’t doing great. Not sure if it’s my internet or the app. They’re throwing hands, Morgan gets the bestter until Chelsea slaps her and throws some hands. Morgan hits another codebreaker and slaps on a Boston crab. Single leg. Green gets to the ropes.
Green fights back and hits an Unprettier, but Liv gets to the ropes. Finally, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez come out. Liv sends them back. Green then gets thrown into thr railing and then the post. But when they get back in the ring, Green rolls up Liv and gets the win. Green celebrates with the crowd. Jumping in and hugging kids. Green is celebrating like crazy. Triple H is out to give her the belt. He has hair. Green takes the Crown Jewel title, and soaks in the cheers. I love this. HHH straps the gold on her waste. The match didn’t really help her at all, she won but it was a fluke. Still, she’s getting to celebrate, and she deserves it. Green has the mic. She said “WWE Universe, we did it. It’s been a long 13 years.” Fans chant you deserve it. She said “I do deserve it.” She said she left blood, sweat and tears. And for 13 years, she didn’t deserve it. All she was was a place holder. Now, she said “we did it baby!” She’s the greatest women’s champion of all time, but Liv Morgan jumps her. And it’s Tiffy Time! She hits Green with the briefcase. She’s cashing in on Chelsea. She hits the moonsault and pins Green. I hate her! HAHA. No, that was awesome. Tiffany Stratton is your chapion.

Penta, Je’Von Evans vs. Bron Breakker, Austin Theory grade
Fun match, great wrestling, and we have new champs. Grade: 86 out of 100.
Penta, Je’Von Evans beat Bron Breakker, Austin Theory for the titles
Oba Femi evened the score by coming out and the good guys win. I hope Theory gets something good out of this. Penta and Je’Von Evans are great, and Breakker will be the top guy in the sports soon. Theory can’t get lost in all this. But we have new champs and you know they’ll be entertaining in every match.
Bron Breakker and Austin Theory vs. Penta and Je’Von Evans
Three of these guys were the stars of the night at Money in the Bank. Evans had the biggest move of the night, Breakker killed everyone and Penta won. I wouldn’t hate a Breakker good guy turn tonight. They are milking this, nobody in the ring yet. Je’Von Evans is out first and now Penta, who has pyro for his briefcase. And here come the champs alongside Maxxine Dupri. We are starting the second match 58 minutes into the show. I hate that. Theory starts with Evans and they do some back and forth wrestling. Both Vision members hit the outside and the challengers hit two dives on them. They’re going to work on Theory now in the ring.
Theory was getting beat up by Penta, but Dupree tripped Penta and Theory takes over. Now Breakker tags in and he’s beating up the MITB winner. Bron has control, and other than a high cross body for a two count, Breakker has been in comlete control. Breakker is choking Penta but the masked man fights out of it. Penta hits some super kicks, but Breakker hits a German suplex and he tags in Theory, who gets a two count.
Evans gets in and he shows some fire, but the Vision takes control again. Evans is so fun to watch. I wish Breakker wasn’t taking so much punishment, and he’s taking a lot from both men. Theory saves Breakker, brings him over and tags in. The fans are going after Theory. All four men in the ring. Lots of superkicks, unitl Penta hits a springboard DDT but the title doesn’t change because Dupree puts Theory’s foot on the rope. Bronson Reed comes out, kills Penta. Then kills Je’Von. The Vision hits the Steiner bulldog from the top, but Penta kicks out. And her comes Oba Femi. Lights are out and here comes Oba. He’s taking so long to get to the ring. How would you feel if you’re Je’Von or Penta? “Oh good, my friend is coming. But first he has to dance, soak in the cheers and then he’ll save us.” He did. He took out Reed by throwing him off the stage through a table. Breakker is leaving the ring, he heads for Femi, but Penta takes him out. Theory eats a Mexican Destoryer and an OG cutter and we have new champs.
Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton grade
I wanted him to go for seconds, but he didn’t. Still, it was a good match. Both men worked hard, fans loved it, it was a good match. Grade: 83 out of 100.

Cody Rhodes defeats Randy Orton
Orton should have won. I’m disappointed. But Cody goes on. I’d like to see him go back, do it again and become bad, but that probably won’t happen. Orton and Cody can’t have a bad match. Cody could have won without punting him. Fans are booing him. Orton is a bloody mess. Cody looks like he’s questioning himself. But he did it.
Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton, last man standing
Adrenaline in my soul, something, something Cody Rhodes! The American Nightmare is the first one out. And he looks focused. He’s starting to look like Dustin. I like Cody, but hope Randy stomps him! Well, if Cody’s enterance is any indication, we will not be having a fast show. And out comes the Viper! Cody looked like Carl Lewis compared to Cody. The fans are singing along, so it’s fun. Even after the bell sounds, the fans are singing. This is tremendous. And Cody and Randy are brawling in the ring. The fans are buzzing. Orton takes control, but he misses a shoulder block and hits the ring post.
Live blogging would have been way easier back in the day because there’s way more back and forth thesed days. As I say that, Randy is taking Cody to task outside the ring. Cody gets up at a 4 count, so he gives Cody as second side suplex on the table. The count goes again. I love Randy. He’s got the best facials. Cody fights back, but now they’re taking it into the crowd.
Cody is getting beat with a trash can. Hope Oscar wasn’t in there. They’re doing a lot of counts. Wrestlers must be way tougher than boxers. These guys get hit over the head with chairs, slammed on tables, yet they are able to stand up at 4. The ref has tried counting Cody out at least 5 times already, but finally he’s fighting back. But Orton pulls out a Singapore cane. I know they call it a Kendo stick, but I’m an ECW guy, that’s a cane. And Orton is waiting again as the ref counts Cody out. The ref is Charles Robinson. Now Cody has the cane and he’s wearing Orton out. Cody is waiting for Randy now.
Orton gets up but falls right back down. Cody is mounting him in the aisle and punching him in the head. I had to try four different words so it wasn’t dirty after using mounting. That’s a verb I can retire. Randy is running away, Cody is in hot pursuit. Randy eats the trashcan and Cody is waiting again for the count. They’ve been outside the ring for the bulk of this match. I love that Randy keeps getting up and falling back down, restarting the count. He’s so good. Cody brings out a table.
But that was dumb because Randy powerbombs Cody through the wood. Randy was celebrating and Cody got up, but he’s not recovered. Randy is in control. He pounds away at the American Nightmare and hits his pose in the aisle. Cody back in the ring, and he catches poor Randal coming in. He hits the draping DDT on Randy. He stole his move! But before Cody can get to the top rope, Orton cuts him off. They’re jockying for positioning before Orton hits a superplex from the top rope. I remember a Cowboy who used that move. Bob something or other. Orton hits a clothesline, another and a snap power slam. It’s RKO time? No, he hits his draping DDT. Cody tried for a backslide, but then poked Randy in the eyes, then hit a powerslam of his own, and I wrote that before Cole said it. Damn it!
Cody hits a Cody Cutter, and the count is on. Cody went for his elbow, but out of nowhere, RKO! Rhodes up at 9. And they go back outside the ring. Orton tried to smash Cody with the stairs, but he moved. Cody then tries the same and is successful. Cody puts Randy on the table. He goes back and punches him. Now Cody is grabbing a ladder. This doesn’t bode well for Mr. Orton. Rhodes ascends the ladder with Orton on the table, and he goes for a splash, but Orton moves. The count is on. Both men are down. This is very Rocky vs. Apollo. But both are up. Fans are chanting “This is awesome!” Randy is setting up for a punt. Cody moves. Cody hits a top rope Cody cutter. Randy gets up, Cody hits CrossRhodes. Orton goet up. Cody brings steps to the ring. Orton looks hurt. Cody hits him with a chair. Orton is laid out on the on the steel steps in the middle of the ring. Cody is standing over him, setting up a huge chair shot, but Randy goes low. Real low. If Orton didn’t hurt his arm, he’s the best seller. He tried for an RKO, but Cody hits CrossRhodes, after CrossRhodes, after CrossRhodes. He did three. Orton banged his head, and he’s bleeding like crazy. Orton is down, Cody stopped the ref from counting. He looks to be setting up for the punt. And he hits it. Orton is down. Michael Cole is shocked. He did it to the other guy for no reason. You didn’t think he’d kick Orton. He’s done.
Announcers working from home
Due to tensions overseas, WWE took a limited number of people over for today’s card. The wrestlers are there, but the announcers are not. Micheal Cole and Corey Graves will handle their job from Stamford, Connecticut. It makes sense, they work off monitors, not the live action. I wouldn’t blame them for doing that for many shows, although it is always cool to see them walk out before they go live. But today, good call.
Yeah, here we go!
I love four-match cards. Especially on a day like today when there’s a killer college football schedule. We’ll miss some good ones, but let’s they don’t fill the show up with too much junk. Let’s have a great two hour or two-and-a-half hour show.

Bron Breakker and Austin Theory vs. Penta and Je’Von Evans, World Tag Team Championship
WWE Crown Jewel predictions
Here’s how we see today’s show going.
Bron Breakker and Austin Theory vs. Penta and Je’Von Evans
A match like this with four of the best wrestlers in the promotion should be exciting. Penta has the Money in the Bank contract, so he could actually leave tonight with two titles. I don’t think he does, and I would think there’s a better chance of him winning a singles title today than the tag team titles. Bron Breakker and Austin Theory get the win.
Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes
It would make sense that Cody punts Randy and this feud is over, but I don’t think this is the end. It will include something wild, but Randy Orton wins this match.
Chelsea Green vs. Liv Morgan
They’ve punked Chelsea Green out since she won the title. She doesn ‘t deserve it. She’s not that good. I have no idea why they’re going the Daniel Bryan route with her. She’s among the most entertaining wrestlers in the world. When she’s out there, she makes it fun. Don’t take away what makes her fun to make her a never-say-die good girl. Keep her the way we love her. Sorry, I’m done.
I love Liv too. I don’t want to see her lose, but if Chelsea loses here, her importance among fans will drop. Chelsea wins.
Sami Zayn vs. Roman Reigns
Sami Zayn is the favorite going in. While he has a lot of people chomping at the bit to take his title away, Roman Reigns is the guy with a lot on his mind. He has a Bloodline to protect, he has 946 breathing down his neck (breathing down his neck!), and he has to be thinking about what could be next for him and his family.
Sami, meanwhile, is very popular in Saudi Arabia, and while Roman was left laying on Raw, Sami comes in fresh. Sami has every reason to win today.

But he’s not the Tribal Chief!
Roman Reigns smashes Sami Zayn.
Will anyone cash in Money in the Bank?
This is a great show because you have both champions in vulnerable spots. But I don’t think it happens here today. I have a feeling today will feature great matches and it will be a fun show, but nobody will cash in.
If someone does, it will be Tiffany Stratton hosing Chelsea Green. I think that happens, but it won’t be today.
If Penta cashes in, I think it will be on Roman. I don’t see Sami losing the title until they have a huge match featuring all the guys going for Sami’s title.

So nobody cashes in.
