X Factor icon Scarlett Lee, who was a runner-up in 2018, revealed she has given birth to her first child.
X Factor star Scarlett Lee has welcomed her first child, sharing a sweet snap of her ‘dream boy’. The 28-year-old, who was the runner-up of the ITV singing show in 2018, confirmed her pregnancy at the beginning of the year with husband Nathan.
In a new upload on Instagram, she announced that she gave birth to a baby boy earlier this week, revealing his name as Elias.
Alongside the snap – which showed the newborn asleep in his cot, surrounded by a personalised cushion, bib and blankets – she wrote: “Here he is, Welcome to the world our dream boy Elias, born on the 12th of August 2026 at 11:05 pm, weighing 6 pound 9.
“He was every 11:11 wish, every birthday candle I blew out, he was the main one I’d close my eyes and wish for, every shooting star I searched for, every coin I threw into a wishing well and most of all a prayer I prayed the most and I couldn’t be more happier that I have my Son.
“I couldn’t of done it without my Elias and my mum. I’ve never been happier and I can’t wait for our life as a family as 3.
“Thank you for choosing me to be your mummy my boy I love you with all I have forever and always xxxxxxx. Hospital set bespoke from @darcys_designs_embroidery thank you so much! X [sic].”
Fans were quick to share their well wishes for the family, with one penning: “Congratulations that’s wonderful news gorgeous name for a gorgeous boy [sic].”

An Instagram user added: “Congratulations to you all Scarlett and wish you lots of love and hugs for your new baby boy xx.”
Scarlett and childhood sweetheart Nathan tied the knot in 2019, two years after the budding singer first appeared on X Factor.
The new mum confirmed her pregnancy at the beginning of the year, posting a poem on social media. It read: “Ten little fingers, two little toes. Two beautiful eyes and a cute button nose. Singing along to mummy at all her shows”.
“For this child we have prayed and the Lord has granted our hearts desire. Baby Cole coming August 2026,” she proudly captioned the upload.
“We cannot wait for our next chapter of being mummy and daddy and I cannot wait to share my music journey with our little blessing.”
Scarlett came to fame in 2017 when she appeared on the X Factor – in her first stint, she reached the six chair challenge, but was eventually sent home by the judges.
The experience didn’t deter her, as she applied again the following year. The musician finished the 2018 competition in second place, and was narrowly beaten to the crown by Dalton Harris.
