With a nor’easter expected to hit the area this weekend, the Yankees wiped out Saturday’s game and will play a doubleheader Friday in The Bronx against the Orioles.
The first game of the single-admission twin bill will begin at 4:05 p.m. CC Sabathia’s number retirement ceremony and Monument Park plaque unveiling will take place before that game.
Only tickets dated for Friday will be accepted. Tickets for Saturday’s originally scheduled game can be exchanged.
It is possible that Game 162, on Sunday, also could be affected by the storms.
“We’ll see,” manager Aaron Boone said.
