Yash Defends Kiara Advani Amid Tabaahi Trolling

The trailer of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups was unveiled at a grand event in Bengaluru, attended by the film’s cast and crew. During the event, the team spoke about their experience working on the highly anticipated film, with Yash also praising his co-stars and their performances.

Yash also came out in support of Kiara Advani, who faced trolling over her appearance in the song Tabaahi. Addressing the criticism, he praised Kiara for her dedication to the role and said that she should not let the negativity affect her.

“Kiara, the kind of role you have performed in this, you are so dedicated. Initially, we all thought getting all these actors will be a problem, but Kiara was so down-to-earth. Unfortunately, what you have to go through as an actor, don’t care. Do whatever you believe in; people will appreciate,” Yash said.

Meanwhile, the trailer begins with the introduction of Yash’s violent character Raya alongside an apologetic child. Later, it moves on to unveiling important characters, played by Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. The trailer also introduces another version of Yash’s character, reportedly Raya’s son. Toxic is set with the backdrop of the underworld, whilst also hinting at a father-son conflict at the heart of the story.

However, the film appears to be driven by power, romance and betrayal. And the trailer hints at exactly this and much more.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups will be released theatrically on August 26.
