Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been postponed once again. After initially being moved from March 19, where it was expected to clash with Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, the film was rescheduled for June 4. It has now been postponed for the second time this year. This time, the makers have not announced a new release date. They are reportedly working on an ambitious global release plan for the action drama, which is expected to feature intense and violent sequences.
“Toxic is complete, and we are currently aligning global distribution and partnerships. In light of this, we have decided to recalibrate our release timeline. We will be releasing at a later, globally aligned date. Toxic will come to theatres across the world soon,” the latest statement from lead actor Yash said.
At a recent international exhibition, CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Yash reportedly received an encouraging response to the film’s promotional assets. According to KVN Productions, global distributors and industry stakeholders reacted positively, opening up opportunities for a significantly wider international release. Encouraged by this, the team has decided to realign the release strategy in the best interest of the film. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film now reportedly aims to reach its fullest potential worldwide. In today’s statement, the KGF star remarked that he feels a greater responsibility as an Indian film personality.

“At a time when Indian cinema is finding its voice and stepping onto the global stage with such promise, each of us has a responsibility to raise the bar. As an actor and producer, I see this moment as an opportunity to do my part for the Indian film industry and for all of us, by taking the time to ensure our film reaches the world with the impact it is meant to have,” he stated. Co-starring Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria, the film was shot in two languages: English and Kannada.
