Michael Irvin Says Taylor Swift Helps Travis Kelce
During Monday’s episode of “The Pat McAfee Show,” Irvin shared his views on Kelce and the noticeable difference in his fitness and energy following his lavish wedding to Swift and said:
“Travis Kelce has been sleeping, he’s been eating right, he’s structured, and he looks younger this year than he ever looked the last two years at least, right now, after he’s gotten married,” Irvin said. “So Taylor Swift, you’re doing a good thing, girl.”
McAfee also agreed with his theory and said:
“Maybe he came into the season in wedding shape; whatever the case, maybe he’s just in like, ‘Hey, I’m having the time of my life right now,'” McAfee said. “I was up in that suite that they all watch the game from, everybody in there is following every single snap, they love ball, everybody’s so supportive. It’s like Travis is living a dream right now, I think, and he’s playing like it as well.”
The couple celebrated their wedding on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York, leaving fans in awe. The star-studded ceremony was officiated by actor Adam Sandler, while Kelce’s older brother, Jason, served as best man. Since then, Swift has remained a visible presence at Chiefs games, enthusiastically celebrating her husband’s achievements. Her support, combined with Kelce’s disciplined preparation, appears to be creating the perfect environment for the veteran tight end to continue succeeding during another demanding NFL season.

Kelce’s strong start has also helped silence doubts about whether he could continue performing at an elite level during the later stages of his career. Against the Colts, he finished with nine receptions for 101 yards and one touchdown.
He also surpassed Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk to become the NFL’s all-time leader in yards after the catch. The achievement further strengthened Kelce’s reputation as one of the greatest tight ends in league history.
