“If you look at some of the great teams that have played here that have won championships, not one of them could tell you how many minutes guys played on the roster, how many points everybody scored. They’re not going to remember any of that. They’re going to remember the contributions that their teammates made and how much they admired what their teammates did.”
“The only truth that matters is the truth that is in this room. You’re going to have schlubs like me that are going to be commenting on what you’re doing. Your families have a certain view of it. Your agent, the media, there’s going to be a lot of talk. None of that means anything. The only thing that matters is what you guys think and what you guys do and how you relate to one another as teammates.”
