Vijayawada: Allegations of fraud have surfaced against UK-based YouTuber Rama Nandana, who runs the popular “Nandu’s World” YouTube channel, and her husband Jagarlamudi Madhukar. The couple has been accused of collecting large sums of money from individuals on the promise of jobs and visa renewals abroad and later failing to deliver the promised services.

According to police records, a case was registered at Ibrahimpatnam police station in NTR district in November last year, though the matter has come to light only recently. Madhukar and Rama Nandana, originally from Guntur and now settled in the UK, are associated with Destiny Consultancy offices operating in Guntur, Vijayawada and Hyderabad.

The complaint was filed by Shivakranti Kumar of Kothuru village in NTR district. He alleged that Madhukar, whom he had met while studying in London, promised assistance in renewing his visa and securing a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) and employment opportunities for his wife in the UK. Acting on Madhukar’s instructions, Shivakranti reportedly transferred ₹15 lakh to two bank accounts linked to the consultancy in 2023.

The complainant alleged that a CoS document sent to him later turned out to be fake. After questioning the accused and demanding a refund, he reportedly received only ₹2 lakh back. Following his complaint, police registered a case naming Madhukar as A1, Rama Nandana as A2 and Mohan Rao as A3.

Police have reportedly issued notices to the accused, but no response has been received so far. The accused have approached the High Court seeking to quash the case, and the matter is currently under consideration.

Meanwhile, social media posts claim that several people from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and other states may have been similarly affected, with some alleging losses running into lakhs of rupees.

Responding to the allegations through her YouTube channel, Rama Nandana denied any wrongdoing. She alleged that some individuals were carrying out a negative campaign against her family due to personal grudges and claimed that neither she nor her husband owns any company. She also cautioned people against those allegedly misusing their names for financial gain.
