Vijayawada: The wedding of YS Sharmila’s daughter, YS Anjili Reddy, and Somala Raghurama Reddy is scheduled to take place on November 25. The couple got engaged on September 24, and wedding invitations have been distributed to guests.
According to reports, the wedding invitations mention Yelahanka Palace in Bengaluru as the venue. However, the proposed venue has triggered objections from YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy citing security concerns.
Reports suggest that Sharmila has attempted to persuade her brother through family members to allow the wedding to be held at the family’s Yelahanka Palace. However, these efforts have not yielded a favourable response.
Meanwhile, YSRCP leader Perni Nani reacted to a report in the vernacular media claiming that Jagan had declined permission to hold the wedding at Yelahanka Palace. He reportedly said that the residences of the two siblings were located within the same compound and that hosting a large wedding there could raise security concerns.
The disagreement over the venue has drawn attention to the differences within the family.
