VISAKHAPATNAM: YSRC candidate Bisapu Hyma Vijayalakshmi won Ward 25 in Salur by a margin of one vote after counting on Tuesday. Vijayalakshmi polled 419 votes against 418 secured by her TD rival D. Annapurna. The ward has 1,238 registered voters, of whom 846 cast their votes. Of the votes counted, 45 were declared invalid and eight voters opted for NOTA. YSRC members celebrated after the result was announced. There was no demand for a recount, sources said.
