That was a school record for points per game, passing the 2001 undefeated BCC team which scored 38.5 points per game in the regular season. … Despite missing some time due to injury, junior quarterback Lee Campbell Jr. has nearly 1,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing in basically six outings. In the regular season, Campbell had 922 yards passing and seven touchdown passes. He also has 995 yards rushing and 19 touchdowns. Junior running back Mubarrack Jubril has 1,096 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns. BCC’s top receiver, Sir Paris, had 409 yards receiving and three more touchdowns. … In Week 3, BCC and Mattawan scored the most combined points ever in the state of Michigan in 11-player football. SCOUTING REPORT ON ZW: Running back Brandon Holman missed the first round of the playoffs with an ankle injury. He is expected back this week and will be a key part of the offense. … The Dux run a Wing-T and Power-T offense with double tight ends and three running backs. The offense is an option style and in most plays is decided by how the defense plays it. They have become a state power by finessing this process so defenses and often fans don’t know who actually has the ball. … Quarterback Drew Albrecht is the signal caller and is essentially a fourth running back, making it very difficult to plan for four points of attack. He can also throw and it is almost always out of the same formation, so it either will go to a tight end or someone out of the backfield. … The Dux always go for two after a touchdown. Always. The last time they attempted an extra point or a field goal was more than a decade ago. Statistically if the achieve it 50% of the time, they are breaking even, but they average higher than that, giving them an advantage.
PREDICTION: Zeeland West 28, Battle Creek Central 14.
