وأعلن الناطق الرسمي للقوات المسلحة اليمنية العقيد ماجد النزيلي، سيطرة قوات العمالقة ودرع الوطن على باب المندب.
وأكد، أن مطار ذو باب بات تحت سيطرة القوات الحكومية، وأن القوات قطعت الطريق بين ذو باب والمخا وأحكمت.
انطلاق عملية “فجر اليمن”
أعلنت القوات المسلحة اليمنية بدء تنفيذ معركة التحرير واستكمال استعادة مؤسسات الدولة وإنهاء الانقلاب.
وقال المتحدث الرسمي باسم القوات المسلحة العقيد الركن ماجد عبدالله النزيلي في بيان يوم الأحد، إن المعركة تهدف إلى رفع معاناة الشعب اليمني وتمكين اليمنيين من حقهم في وطن لا سيادة فيه إلا للشعب، ولا سلطان فيه إلا للدستور وسيادة القانون.
وأكدت القوات المسلحة اليمنية في بيانها، أن المعركة الوطنية تمثل جسرًا لإعادة اليمن إلى حاضنته العربية، مشيرة إلى التقدم بثبات وعزيمة نحو معاقل الحوثيين.
