Hyderabad: GRP and RPF personnel seized ₹1.22 crore in suspected hawala money from a passenger travelling on the Devagiri Express from Mumbai to Secunderabad.
The accused, identified as Vijay Ambadas Gupta from Maharashtra, allegedly transported the cash linked to a jewellery business. He failed to produce valid documents for the money.
Authorities also seized his mobile phone, ID proofs and train ticket.
