Smartwatches and Fitness Trackers
The newer Galaxy Watch9 stands out as the best choice for Samsung owners, with a faster processor, a slightly larger battery, and more health metrics. In testing, none of these updates particularly improved the user experience, and I didn’t find the new metrics beneficial for my lifestyle. At $260, the Watch8 is $120 less than its successor, which, for a limited time, makes it the better buy.
For Samsung users who want an even cheaper smartwatch, the Watch7 is another option if you don’t need the latest health-tracking features. This is the lowest price we’ve seen for the Watch7, but you won’t get newer metrics like Antioxidant Index and Vascular Load. Fortunately, in testing, we didn’t find either particularly helpful anyway. The Watch7’s display also tops out at 2,000 nits versus 3,000 nits on newer models, but it’s still just as bright as an Apple Watch Series. This smartwatch isn’t going to last forever, but $150 is a great price.
The Casio Pro Trek PRG340B-3 doesn’t go on sale often, and $189 is one of the lowest prices I’ve seen in a while for this solar-powered outdoor watch.
This Smart Walking Pad Is $93 Off
The Urevo CyberPad is our top choice for a walking pad, primarily because of its 14-percent incline—the highest we’ve seen in our testing. I’ve seen the price drop even further, but $387 is a solid price for a top-tier walking pad now rather than waiting for Black Friday.
According to WIRED reviewer Kristin Canning, setup is a breeze, and you can easily control it via its remote or app. She appreciates the sturdy build and comfortable belt, which together ensure a solid workout experience. With a maximum speed of 4 mph and an adjustable incline that reaches either 9 or 14 percent, depending on how you position it, it offers enough versatility for walking. While it may not be the quietest option, it’s not disruptive if you’re working or reading. Weighing in at 71 pounds, it provides stability, but it might not be the easiest to move around; the included wheels help with portability, though.
Massage Guns for Muscle Relief
The Theragun Relief is our budget Theragun pick, and at $100 ($60 off), it’s even more affordable. It’s an older model from 2023, but it matches the power of many of its pricier competitors. It’s half the weight of the Theragun Pro Plus, but if you’re looking for an ultra-portable device, the Theragun Mini Plus is also on sale for $238 ($42 off). It comes with a carrying case, is designed with a built-in travel lock, and offers heated therapy.
If you’re looking for the most affordable massage gun, the LifePro Sonic Massage Gun has been our budget massage gun pick for two years now, and $40 ($20 off) is the lowest price I’ve seen. It also comes with a storage case and eight attachments, which is plenty of versatility when it comes to percussive therapy.
Compression Therapy to Boost Recovery
Therabody’s JetBoots Pro Plus are my favorite compression boots. In addition to pneumatic compression therapy, they also use vibration and infrared LED therapies to support a more effective recovery process. The JetBoots Pro Plus are designed to increase blood circulation and reduce inflammation. The boots are fully wireless and available in three sizes. They are also easy to control via the LCD screen and feature preset routines tailored to warm-ups and recoveries.
At $299 ($80 off), this is the best deal I’ve seen on the Hyperice Normatec Go all year. It’s my favorite gadget for portable compression therapy and a great alternative to full-length recovery boots. Not only can you walk around and multitask while wearing them, but they are also TSA-approved and easy to pack in a carry-on or personal item. If you’re considering a pair, now’s the best time to buy.
