Chennai: A 19-year-old air-conditioner mechanic was chased by an unidentified three-member gang and hacked to death at Mylapore.
Sathyaseelan was working as an air-conditioner mechanic in Velachery. Since he became a ganja addict, he took treatment in a deaddiction centre and shifted to Mylapore since he did not want to go back to his old habits.
When he was speaking to one of his friends onVeerabadran street in Mylapore on Monday, an unidentified gang arrived in two-wheelers with machetes and knives. They chased Sathyaseelan and attacked him, murdering him on the spot. Police are investigating if the youth was murdered due to previous enmity due to one of his acts when he was addicted to ganja.
