Nellore:The Andhra State 1st Ranking Carrom Tournament–2026 will be held at Nellore Club from July 31 to August 2, bringing together around 200 players from 15 districts across Andhra Pradesh.
Organised by the Andhra State Carrom Association (ASCA) in association with the SPSR Nellore District Carrom Association, the championship will feature men’s singles and women’s singles events on a knockout basis. Ranking points earned in the tournament will be considered for the selection of the Andhra Pradesh team for upcoming national championships.
The event will feature several top players, including international stars Ch. Janardhan Reddy and B. Shobhika, besides Guinness World Record holder S.K. Husna Sameera.
D.S.R. Murthy will serve as the chief referee and S.K. Sajida as the assistant chief referee. Around 200 players from 15 districts of Andhra Pradesh are expected to participate.
Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy will inaugurate the tournament, while APTRANSCO director J. Venkateswara Rao will attend as the distinguished guest. The organisers will provide free boarding and accommodation to participating players, ASCA general secretary Shaik Abdul Jaleel said.
