Heading into Sunday’s final round of the Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club, the International Team holds a three-point lead over the United States Team, with the score at 10.5-7.5.
After opening the week with a 3-2 four-ball advantage and getting swept 5-0 in Friday’s alternate-shot foursomes, the U.S. showed some resilience Saturday. They came out swinging, winning the morning four-ball session 2.5-1.5 before splitting the afternoon foursomes — and keeping themselves in the fight.
Now all that’s left are the 12 singles matches, each worth a point apiece.

While it may feel like an impossible task, the Americans still have a chance to make a comeback — and their captain believes they can do it. Following Saturday afternoon’s session, U.S. Captain Brandt Snedeker reflected on the team’s performance so far and challenged his team to finish strong.
“I feel like a team reflects their captain, and to this point, I haven’t held up my end of the bargain,” he said, “We’ve got to get our heads down tonight and come out and work hard tomorrow…I know what kind of guys we have on that team. These guys are going to fight and claw tomorrow. They’re going to go out there and give it everything they’ve got.”
