Warangal: The 111th birth anniversary of Acharya Konda Laxman Bapuji was celebrated in Warangal on Sunday under the aegis of the BC welfare department.
MLC Basavaraju Sarayya, Parkal MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy, Warangal collector Dr Satya Sharada, KUDA chairperson Gundu Sudharani and Library Institution chairman Meesala Prakash attended the programme held near Gopalaswamy Temple.
They garlanded Bapuji’s statue and paid floral tributes to him.
The birth anniversary was also observed in Kazipet under the aegis of the Padmashali community association.
Guruppu Koteshwar, vice-president of the Hanamkonda Padmashali Association, attended as the chief guest and paid floral tributes to Bapuji’s portrait.
Fruits were distributed to participants following the programme. Guruppu Sudhakar Rao, Devulapalli Sadanandam, Thumma Srinivas, Chidurala Raghunath, Guruppu Chandrasekhar and Thelu Sarangapani were among those who participated.
