Real Madrid this morning unveiled their new home shirt and it is likely to receive a mixed reaction.
The majority of the top is made from the traditional white that is part of the club’s history but makers Adidas have inserted three wide stripes down the sleeves.
The stripes are pink, a colour Madrid have worn previously on away shirts.

History-making shirt could divide Real Madrid fans
Adidas claim there are intricate details that are woven into the shirt to highlight elements of the club’s heritage.
The German marque wrote on the club’s official website: “It is a kit with a modern design, which integrates graphic elements inspired by the crown jewels of the coat of arms of the club, reflecting excellence, craftsmanship and winning mentality.
“The white of the shirt is combined with dark green details on the collar and cuffs of the sleeves. In addition, the three adidas stripes on the shoulders appear in pink.
“Designed for the demands of elite performance, the shirt has the latest adidas technology to maximize airflow and keep players fresh during matches.”
By having green and pink on the shirt, it is the first time in history Madrid have included two colours in addition to the traditional white.
