Prakasam: Reports state that four children who went swimming in the Cheruvukommu Palem pond in Ongole mandal in the district in Andhra Pradesh went missing. The children, identified as Illa Dinesh (10), Podili Chinnu (11), and Kareti Sushant (12), had gone to the pond for a swim. When they didn’t return home, their families came looking for them. Their clothes and footwear were found on the shore, but there was no sign of the children.
Upon learning of the incident from the grieving parents, local police and rescue workers immediately launched a search operation with the help of expert swimmers and a rubber dinghy deployed to search for the missing children.
