As the CJP-led student protests continue to gain momentum, especially after the July 20 Sansad Chalo march, more celebrities have come out in support of the students.
Kareena Kapoor Khan took to Instagram to pen a long note that read, “No child should have to wonder if their effort will be enough. They deserve a system they can trust, where merit is real, effort is rewarded, and every child starts on equal footing. That isn’t a lot to ask. It’s the bare minimum.”
She continued that when an entire generation speaks with one voice about its future, listening isn’t a courtesy, it becomes an obligation. Read her entire post below:
Sharing photos from the protest, Ananya Panday wrote, “Gen Z has always been labelled … not all of them have been kind. But maybe this moment is reminding us who this generation really is. A generation that’s no longer willing to accept, “this is how it’s always been.”
She continued, “Questioning isn’t disrespect. Speaking up isn’t rebellion. It’s hope.
It’s belief that things can be better.
And that’s how change begins. I love my country and its people Jai Hind”
Khanna wrote, “Proud to belong to a country where our young people still have the courage to dissent, to push back, to brave tear gas and batons. The sad part is that they have to.”
Ibrahim Ali Khan, on the other hand, shared visuals from the protests. He later posted a photo of the Indian tricolour and wrote, “It’s difficult to see students and families caught up in unrest. No one should have to face fear or uncertainty while simply trying to pursue their education, let alone peaceful , legal protests. Whatever our individual opinions are, I hope everyone stays safe, that people are heard peacefully, and that the situation is resolved without more harm. Wishing everyone affected strength and hoping for a constructive way forward. Jai Hind”
