Mariah Carey is thawed out and ready for her first Christmas UK tour in almost a decade as she reveals she is heading back to Blighty as part of her European tour
All she wants for Christmas is you – to attend her concerts. Mariah Carey, best known for her 1994 festival chart-topper has revealed she will will perform three shows in the UK this winter.
The pop singer, 57, is heading to Blighty for the first time in almost a decade as part of her Christmastime tour. The limited run of shows includes nights in Birmingham, London and Manchester.
She will also head to Malta on her European adventure. She revealed she was returning to the UK for the first time since 2018 in an Instagram message.
The icon said: “My Christmastime Tour is coming to the UK & Malta! “I can’t wait to celebrate with you all!”
Carey will start her tour at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on Friday November 27 before heading to London’s O2 on Monday November 30. She will close the UK run at Manchester’s Co-Op Live on Wednesday December 02 before heading to Malta’s MFCC venue, near Valletta.
This year’s tour follows her Las Vegas residency at Christmastime last year. The shows mark nearly a decade since Carey embarked on her 2018 All I Want For Christmas Is You Tour in the UK and Europe.
She has had three number one UK singles including her 1994 festive classic, 1994’s Without You and her 2000’s rendition of Phil Collins’ Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now) which she released with Irish band Westlife.
She is also known for her albums, 1993’s Music Box, 1995’s Daydream and her festive record, Merry Christmas, in 1994. Carey performed during the opening ceremony for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
Fans will be hoping she performs live after doubts were thrown at the star when she opened the Winter Olympics 2026 in Milan with a rendition of Voltare. She was chosen to start the proceedings of the major sporting event in with a rendition of the classic track, but many accused her of lip syncing.
At the time, one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Mariah Carey looks bored of lip syncing. This could be remedied by actually singing.”
Another said: “Thought it was the fault of the sound engineer as well, but clearly the mic/audio does work as we can see from the lady in black dress Think Mariah is just awful at lip syncing and incredibly lazy.”
And a third fumed: “Witnessing Mariah Carey at the Olympics2026 Opening Ceremony…she is stiff, lip syncing and looks like she’s reading off a teleprompter!”
It wasn’t all doom and gloom though as some fans praised her performance. A fourth said: “It was fantastic. Enjoyed Mariah’s Volare! And man, that national anthem. So beautiful! I had tears.”
Tickets for her Christmastime Tour go on sale on Friday September 25.
