Tirumala: A leopard was spotted near the Tirumala steps route, triggering panic among devotees on Tuesday.
According to reports, devotees spotted the leopard sitting on a tree near the steps, around 2,700 steps from the starting point. The sighting caused panic among devotees, who immediately alerted security personnel.
Following the information, TTD Vigilance and Forest Department officials rushed to the spot. However, by the time the officials arrived, the leopard had moved into the nearby forest.
Following the leopard sighting, security personnel have been put on high alert along the steps route. Officials have advised devotees to remain cautious and travel in groups while using the steps route.
