The Vvaan finally hit the theatres after a long haul of anticipation by the fans. This new folklore thriller takes place within the depths of a forest where a powerful spiritual force resides. The only condition that requires to be abided by is not to step into the forest at night. Fail to do so, and you will never exit.
On September 24, the premiere of The Vvaan was held, where many were in attendance. Prior to the premiere, Sidharth Malhotra, along with his wife, Kiara Advani, was out to take blessings during the Ganpati celebrations.
Just a few days back, both Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia had also visited a temple in Patna, Bihar, to take the blessings of Mother Ganga and to perform the Chhath pooja. As per the ritual, the prayer is not meant just for the rising sun but also for the setting sun.
The Vvaan follows the journey of a young city man, Rishi (Sidharth Malhotra), who, through a sequence of events, visits his ancestral village for the occasion of a Chhath pooja with his wife (Tamannaah Bhatia).
Rishi, on one hand, wants to sell a piece of land which he inherited in the forest, while Deepak (Sunil Grover) wishes to build a road through the forest. However, none of these actions are greenlit due to the villagers’ opposition, fearing the rules of the forest. Both Rishi and Deepak take these superstitions lightly.
Rishi, dismissing these warnings, enters to make a point, and is soon subjected to a world of supernatural powers. He must now face his past and use his newfound powers to help protect the village from evil spirits.
