Ohh My Dog tells its story across two parallel timelines. One follows Appu, played by Maahi Rai, whose indie dog Momo goes missing after running off to fetch a ball, a hunt that eventually uncovers an illegal dog meat smuggling racket. The other centres on Prince, a young labourer in Bihar who disappears, with his loyal dog Oscar turning detective to track him down.
Backed by Babulal Biscope and Thinking Hat Entertainment Solutions, the film also stars Pavan Malhotra, Geeta Aggarwal Sharma, Rajesh Kumar and Shreedhar Dubey, with cinematography by Mate Herbai, known for his work on the Oscar-nominated On Body and Soul.
At its core, the film leans into themes of loyalty, love and the quiet, often unspoken bond between humans and their dogs, an area Pankaj Tripathi has always been able to bring genuine warmth to, whether the tone leans comic or deeply emotional.
