It was in June 2026, when Madonna was in Paris during Paris Fashion Week. During one of her outings, Madonna was spotted exiting her hotel, looking ravishing in a blue-toned, see-through midi dress that had asymetrical pattern.
She teamed her dress with a silver jacket and fishnet tights. A middle-parted hairdo, soft makeup and glasses finalised her look. Some videos of her were shared on social media, where she was seen exiting her hotel. However, she faced a wardrobe malfunction that nearly exposed her undergarment.
No sooner did the clips go viral, netizens began to talk about the same. She also seemingly went braless; however, she donned a jacket to style her dress and looked gorgeous. A certain section of netizens lauded Madonna and were in awe of her glam; another portion of the fashion police had several pointers to give out. Madonna, like the unbothered queen she is, didn’t pay much attention to the same.
Madonna recalled her controversial wardrobe mishap
In the last few days, Madonna has been in the talks, be it with her 15th album, Confessions II, her VMAs performance or her recent appearances. A few months back, she posted a bunch of photos of herself, which led people to tag her as ‘unrecognizable,’ thereby igniting plastic surgery buzz, a constant chatter that has always surrounded the pop star.
Speaking about her wardrobe malfunction recently, Madonna revealed that during the 1984 VMAs, her dress went up, exposing her backside, which left her manager furious. The manager even told Madonna that her career was over. Madonna looked back at the past and said:
“I had a little problem with my shoes, and one of my stilettos fell off, and I dove onto the stage to try to make myself look cute and sexy, and my dress went up, and my butt cheek was hanging out, and in those days, butt cheeks were not hanging out. I went backstage feeling really proud of myself, and my manager told me that my career was over.”
During the 1984 VMAs, Madonna wore a wedding gown as she performed Like A Virgin. For the same, she had to perform on a wedding cake. During the performance, one of her shoes came off, and she tried to save the moment by rolling and twirling as she dove to the floor.
Her idea was to pretend that it was part of the performance; however, when she did that, her dress rolled up, exposing her backside and underwear live on camera. Her manager was left furious, while people walked up to her publicist, stating that Madonna made a huge mistake.
