Air India Express is set to launch direct flights connecting Pune and Bangkok starting December 20, 2024. This new route marks a significant expansion for the airline, which will now serve Bangkok as its 15th international destination and 50th overall.

- Arrival in Bangkok: 2:30 PM IST
- Return from Bangkok: 3:35 PM IST
- Arrival in Pune: 6:25 PM IST
The flights will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Fares for the Pune-Bangkok route start at approximately INR 6,500 for the Xpress Lite option and INR 7,000 for Xpress Value.
Strategic Expansion
This initiative is part of Air India Express’s broader strategy to enhance connectivity between non-metro cities in India and international destinations. The airline currently operates 75 weekly flights from Pune, connecting to nine destinations, including Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, and Lucknow.Managing Director Aloke Singh emphasized the airline’s commitment to fostering economic growth and tourism through improved connectivity.
Alongside the new flights to Bangkok, Air India Express plans to introduce additional domestic routes to cities like Dimapur and Patna.The introduction of these direct flights is expected to cater to the growing demand for travel between India and Thailand, making it easier for travelers to explore the vibrant culture and attractions of Bangkok.
