Amy Adams was joined by her 15-year-old daughter Aviana at the premiere of her latest TV series.
The actress – who stars in Cape Fear, the new Apple TV series which is a remake of the film of the same name – was joined by her husband Darren Le Gallo and their daughter at the premiere to mark the new series.
However, fans were left stunned by Aviana’s likeness to a Hollywood star, namely actress Scarlett Johansson. Fans rushed to the comment sections of the photos to compare the pair.
“Her daughter looks just [like] Scarlett Johansson!!!!!,” one wrote, whilst another agreed: “Oh my gosh, your daughter looks like Scarlett Johansson very beautiful. Congrats on the new show.”
A follower quipped: “Does Amy Adams know she gave birth to Scarlett Johansson?” with a social media user adding: “She looks like Scarlett Johansson!! She’s absolutely stunning !!!”
Amy has been a staple of Hollywood for years, thanks to roles in Arrival, Enchanted and American Hustle. As such, she likes to share her projects with her daughter, but revealed that there were some she keeps away from the teenager.
Referencing Nightbitch – a black comedy horror film she led the way in – during an appearance at TIFF in 2024, she explained: “Parts of it I’m excited to share with her, being that it’s her mum I’m going to be a little bit more protective of certain aspects of the filmmaking.
“I think what I want her to know about my experience of motherhood is how much she’s enriched my life and made me the woman that I am today.”
For Amy, it’s important for the pair to keep a strong mother daughter relationship, as she added to People Magazine: “I tell her that all the time, but it’s true and I’m glad that she’s here tonight to get to celebrate with me.”
The Sharp Objects star previously explained how she didn’t wear make-up because of her daughter.
“She didn’t like me wearing make-up. She’s like, ‘I just want you to look like mum, not like Amy Adams.’ And I was like, ‘You got it,” she said, “So, there were years where I didn’t wear make-up wherever we went. I mean, I sneaked some mascara. But yeah, I wouldn’t wear make-up because she wanted me to be just mum.”
However, Aviana was quick to ask her mum to improve her outfit choices. She added: “I’m usually the least manicured at my household. But lately, per my daughter’s request, I’m working on an upgrade. She’s like, ‘You can’t wear workout clothes if you’re not working out, mum. You can’t just do the leisure part of athleisure.'”
