Ramayana is less than two weeks away from gracing our screens with its theatrical release worldwide. However, during a special premiere screening in Los Angeles, lucky viewers had the opportunity to watch the epic before everyone else. Most of the team was present at this special screening, including the producer Namit Malhotra, the director Nitesh Tiwari, and the lead cast Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash.
During the event, Sai Pallavi was asked a few questions, to which she had some intriguing replies. When asked about what she expects from the people who have grown up with the epic to take from the movie, she said, “If you are curious about Indian culture, Indian epics, I think this could be the start where you see the best version of Ramayana that exists.”
She went on to praise the VFX department and the crew that had worked on the movie. She continued, “Over time, we’ve aced the game of VFX. We’ve got the best technicians on board/ In that way, I think, as a movie, you’re able to see the best version of our epic that we can present.”
She dove deeper into what message one should carry from the film. She added, “At the same time, as a scripture, I think if you are a believer, you would see, try to introspect and see what good and bad exist in you, and learn to correct yourself over time. Because Ravana is not all bad. And it’s important that we spot the Ravana in us and make changes over time.”

Sai Pallavi was also asked if they had begun shooting the Ramayana second part, to which her surprising reply about her own scenes was, “No, I haven’t started filming yet.”
Considering that Ramayana Part 2 is scheduled to release in Diwali 2027, it’s shocking to wonder if the movie will be ready in time or would be seeing some shifts in the dates.
Ramayana will release in theatres on November 5, 2026.
