"Apple Expands Horizons: iPhone 16 Series Now Assembled in India!"
Apple has officially begun assembling its entire iPhone 16 series in India, marking a pivotal move in the company’s strategy to diversify manufacturing beyond China. This initiative includes the production of high-end Pro models for the first time outside of its traditional manufacturing base.
The iPhone 16 series is expected to be available in India later this month and will also be exported to select international markets, highlighting India’s growing significance in Apple’s global supply chain.
In addition to the assembly news, Apple is expanding its retail presence in India by planning to open four new stores in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi, and Mumbai. These new locations will complement the existing stores that opened in Delhi and Mumbai in April 2023.
This strategic expansion not only enhances Apple’s operational resilience but also aligns with India’s aspirations to become a major global manufacturing hub for smartphones.
