That clue points directly to ‘Zafar Katkar’ and becomes her only lead for twenty years of searching.
The final fight inside the abandoned hotel and what it means
The climax brings everything together inside the same abandoned hotel where ‘Baby’ died twenty years earlier. ‘Didi’ has been living as ‘Baby Karmarkar’ and working for ‘Zafar Katkar’ to recover a pouch of stolen diamonds. When she learns that ‘Papa’ is holding her husband ‘Siddhu’ hostage, she realizes the entire organization must be destroyed to protect her family.
Knowing that ‘Zafar Katkar’ will never stop hunting her, she decides to work with the police and offers herself as bait. She tells them she can deliver him dead or alive. The hotel is now a shelter for homeless people, which gives her useful cover when ‘Zafar Katkar’ and his men arrive.
It is a full-circle moment that brings her back to where everything began. Inside the central atrium, she confronts ‘Papa’ through sign language, and he finally admits he ordered the murder to protect his criminal operations and to hide his illegal deals.
Enraged by the betrayal, ‘Didi’ fights ‘Papa’ and his mercenaries in a silent, brutal battle. She uses shadows and her sharp sensory awareness to neutralize the guards one by one. ‘Zafar Katkar’ recognizes her as the woman who killed his brother ‘Lucky,’ so the fight becomes deeply personal. She eventually overpowers her enemies and completes the revenge she has carried for two decades.
Police later confirm that ‘Zafar Katkar’ is dead. ‘Didi’ survives, which matters because the film suggests revenge could be her last act. ‘Siddhu’ also survives and represents a chance at a normal, peaceful life. To secure that future, ‘Didi’ hides the stolen diamonds inside her mother’s pickle jars, choosing family over crime. The biggest shock comes when she finally says she is not ‘Baby’ but her sister, ‘Didi’. Baby Do Die Do ends with a note that this is not the end.
