Billie Eilish shared a powerful message of love with LGBTQ+ fans and teased a future in musical theatre following the release of her 3D concert film with James Cameron.
Billie Eilish issued a heartwarming message to her LGBTQ+ fans, reminding them to “stay strong” and sharing her love.
In a new interview for Attitude Uncut, the singer-songwriter said: “I love you so much – stay strong. You mean everything to me. That is my message.”
Billie rose to fame as a teenager and has won numerous awards thanks to tunes such as Bad Guy and Birds of a Feather. Her recent album Hit Me Hard and Soft saw her win Song of the Year for her song Wildflower. A concert film, Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D) was directed by James Cameron – a fan in his own right – and hit cinemas in May.
Billie is currently dating actor Nat Wolff, and confirmed their relationship at the premiere of her concert film. In December 2023, Billie came out as queer, telling Variety: “I’m physically attracted to [women]. But I’m also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence.”

Later, she added: “I’ve never really felt like I could relate to girls very well. I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m attracted to them for real.”
When discussing whether people should publicly come out, Billie said: “I just don’t really believe in it. It’s like why can’t we just exist?” she said, “I’ve been doing this for a long time and I just didn’t talk about it, whoops.”
It comes after Billie opened up on what could come next in her hugely successful career. The star spoke with Fleur East on Hits Radio Breakfast. The presenter revealed how the star’s tour reminded her of a West End show.
Fleur told the singer: “I feel like your life story is amazing.” And Billie responded: “Oh, thank you for saying that. Hell yeah.” She went on to say: “I mean, maybe someday when I have time to do such a thing (musical), hell yeah, I would love to do that would be pretty crazy.
“I feel like, I feel like, yeah, in a way I’m like, so, I mean, I grew up as a dancer, so that kind of theatre, bowing to each side… And also love being in plays as a kid and stuff. Like I love that side.”
And she said she wanted her tour stage to “feel like a playground”. “I want to play on the playground,” she told the host. “I used to say like, ‘Can I have something to climb on?’ And that’s not as easy as you might think.”
