The Charlotte Hornets suffered a 39-point defeat to the Boston Celtics Friday, their sixth straight loss and their third in a row at home. Throughout the contest, Jayson Tatum was difficult to contain, as the Duke product scored a game-high 34 points, 18 of which came in the first quarter. Following the contest, Tatum spoke to the media, discussing his return to the state of North Carolina and his opponents.
Tatum praised Hornets forward Brandon Miller, indicating his excitement to watch his development. “I think the way he’s reading the game, reading defenses, he’s understanding his spots, he’s making some quicker decisions. Obviously he’s gotten stronger.”

Unfortunately for Miller, he was forced to leave the game in the second quarter due to a groin injury. Before heading to the locker room, Miller had tallied 8 points, two rebounds, one assist and one block in 14 minutes.
