Chelsea have been given a suspended two-window registration ban and a £10 million fine by the Football Association for breaching agent rules.

The Blues have been charged after breaking rules relating to payments to agents between 2009 and 2022.

Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital reported these breaches, a total of 74, themselves when they took ownership of the West London club four years ago.

And after initially having a six-point deduction floated by an independent regulatory commission, the Blues have escaped that punishment on appeal.

According to the BBC, Chelsea’s £10m fine will be invested into grassroots football.
