Knoxville Catholic baseball infielder Connor York has committed to Mississippi State, he announced on social media on Sept. 22.
“First I would like (to) think God for all the blessings He has given me,” York said in an Instagram post. “My parents for always being there for me no matter what the situation is. My coaches for always pushing me to be the better version of myself. Lastly I want to thank Coach (Brian) O’Connor, and the rest of the Miss. St. staff for this opportunity! This truly is a dream come true!’

In the 2026 season, York batted .306 in 111 at-bats for 34 hits, 21 RBIs, seven doubles and a triple. He scored 23 runs and stole nine bases, which was second on the team behind Louisville commit DJ Lowery.
The Irish reached the Division II-AA state tournament last season. They dropped their first round series to Montgomery Bell, 2-1.
