New Delhi: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday termed HYDRAA as the “greatest reform” brought in by the Telangana government. Speaking to reporters in Delhi, the CM responded to the Telangana High Court’s orders regarding HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath. He said HYDRAA is one of the best institutions in the state and that the government will review the court’s orders.
Criticizing encroachers, Revanth Reddy alleged that they were misleading the courts by submitting fake documents. He cited the example of a BRS leader who had allegedly encroached 10 acres of land in Bathukammakunta and had showered flowers on KCR during a visit. “
The CM asserted that HYDRAA would be further strengthened. “We will continue the good work being done by HYDRAA in protecting tanks, lakes, ponds and streams. HYDRAA has received appreciation from across the country for its work, and we will empower it further,” he said.
Extending support to Commissioner Ranganath, Revanth Reddy questioned why no one raised objections earlier when more than 400 contempt of court cases were pending against former Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar.
He reiterated that the government has a clear stance on HYDRAA and that it has the discretionary power to decide on the posting of officials.
