Hyderabad:Chief minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed that no inconvenience be caused to the public during the movement of his convoy or those of other dignitaries, stressing that people should not be made to wait on roads for prolonged periods.

DGP C.V. Anand said on Wednesday that the Chief Minister expressed concern over severe congestion near the airport while he was proceeding to Delhi, and warned of action against officials responsible for lapses. He instructed that vehicles coming from the opposite direction should not be stopped unnecessarily and that traffic regulation must minimise disruption.

Anand convened a video conference with all commissioners and senior traffic officers across the state, issuing key instructions. He announced that a dedicated Traffic Bureau will soon be set up under an Additional DGP to strengthen management. Officers were told to prepare alternative routes during peak hours, regulate flow instead of halting vehicles, and maintain vigilance around the airport.

With the monsoon approaching, Anand directed proactive measures to prevent waterlogging and resultant congestion. He also warned against illegal parking on the Outer Ring Road and stressed coordination between law and order, traffic, ISW and CSW wings.

City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh, Malkajgiri Police Commissioner B. Sumati, Future City joint CP Chandana Deepthi, Railways & Road Safety IGP Ramesh Naidu, ISW OSD Kamalahasan Reddy, CMSG SP Chakravarthy and other senior officers participated in the meeting.
