TV presenter Coleen Nolan has opened up on an “issue” at home as she admits “I can’t afford it”.
The 61-year-old made her name a member of The Nolans with her sisters, but she is perhaps most renowned nowadays as a regular panellist on Loose Women.
Alongside her television work on the ITV show, she also moved to a six-acre farm in 2024. She relocated to the working farm in Dilhorne, Staffordshire, from her former home in Cheshire.
Coleen moved with her daughter, Ciara Fensome, and now lives at the farm with Ciara, her fiancé Maxx Innes, and their eight-month-old son Sidney.
During a recent episode of the Nolans Uncensored YouTube channel, Coleen was chatting with Ciara and her son, Shane Jr, about what would happen if Ciara and her family moved out of the farm.
Coleen admitted it would leave her in a spot of bother because, with her work schedule, she would need someone to take care of the farm’s upkeep – and she can’t afford to pay staff.
Shane Jr suggested employing staff, but his mum responded: “I can’t afford them, that’s the issue. If I could afford it I would.
“If they move out, I’d let someone live there, in the annex, rent free, their job is to do the stuff while I’m not here, and even when I am here, look after the grounds.”
Coleen owns a growing collection of rescue animals, including horses, dogs, cats and goats.
She previously admitted that her financial problems worsened after moving to the farm, while she also split from long-term partner Michael Jones. Despite this she calls the farms her “happy place”.
Ciara and Maxx welcomed their son Sidney last October, and Coleen admits that if the couple tell her they are going away for a few days, she worries about what she will do with the farm.
Ciara also concedes that she feels “guilty” about going away despite being 25 years old.
Coleen said: “Equally when you randomly go, ‘by the way next week we’re going to London, or next week we’re going to Barcelona.’
“In my head I go, ‘oh are you, because I’m work, what the f*** are we doing with the animals?’ I’m going through all this guilt.
“Then I think, ‘hold on a minute, you can’t go, because I’m working and I can’t afford to pay someone to come and look after them.’
“Equally, that’s kind of your job right now. But, you’ve got a baby, Maxx is really busy, I just don’t want all those things, i don’t want you to feel guilty.”
Ciara is Coleen’s daughter with second husband, Ray Fensome, who she split from in 2018. She also has two children with first husband, EastEnders actor Shane Richie – Shane Jr and Jake Roche.
Ciara then suggested she and her family couldn’t afford to move off the farm, to which Coleen joked: “So what we’ve established is the only reason you’re here is because you can’t afford to move out and leave me.”
