Cruz Beckham cheekily poked fun at feuds in his new song Seeing Red amid the ongoing fallout with his brother Brooklyn.
Eldest Brooklyn has isolated himself from his wider family, having decided to publicly turn on his parents David and Victoria Beckham. In a damning statement a few months back, Brooklyn said he “did not want to reconcile with his family”.
“I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” he said, leading to a dramatic continuation of comments and digs. Victoria and David have remained fairly quiet when it comes to discussing the feud publicly but have made pointed comments about how “all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children”.
Cruz, meanwhile, has been busy with his music career and recently released new song Seeing Red. Discussing the track, Cruz shared of the song’s meaning: “Seeing red is a comedic take on a totally unserious moment of frustration, in this case in sports. Everyone’s competitive nature likes to take over now and then, but it’s all fun and games. Seeing red is a nod to that exact turning point.”
Cruz and his bandmates are seen playing football – in a nod to his dad’s career – until the match takes a turn and they end up scrapping on the pitch. From there, it appears that Cruz has been left blooded and bruised from the spat.
Of the wider EP Wear & Tear, he added: “Wear & Tear is synonymous to a life lived and all your life experiences so far – the good and the bad, the learning curves, and everything in between.
“No matter how different every human experience is, we all have had at least a few similar emotions that make us all human. We’ve been high, and low, in love and in pain, jealous, upset – we’ve lived and learned. We’ve all got our wear and tear.”
Things only got worse in terms of the feud when Brooklyn used a DoorDash ad to capitalise on his family fallout.
In the ad, Brooklyn can be seen sat on his couch before saying: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home.” He then chuckles and throws his World Cup tickets onto a coffee table and says: “It’s a long story.”
The words: “It’s complicated, more soon,” then appear on screen alongside the unused tickets and some rather poignant digs at his famous family including an expensive watch, like his dad had bought him, a nod to his cooking and photography careers and of course, the unused World Cup tickets, despite his family’s constant appearances during the tournament.
