Jelly Roll’s personal life has become a major talking point among fans in recent days after it was revealed that he has filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie XO. For those unaware, the duo had been together for nearly 10 years and had overcome a lot, including the former’s infidelity during their marriage. Now, country stars, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, shared how their friend, Jelly Roll, is doing amid his divorce with Bunnie XO.

Even though some fans questioned Jelly Roll’s decision to suddenly divorce Bunnie XO after almost a decade together, it seems like the country music community is supporting the former during this tough time. Recently, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, who together make up the hit duo, Dan + Shay, shared an update on how their friend, Jelly, is doing as he navigates his divorce with Bunnie. During an interview at the Tight End & Friends Concert presented by Reese’s in Nashville on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Dan Smyers shared:

“I saw him the other night, actually. Yeah, I ran into him. He was great. We didn’t really get into it, but I’m happy for him.” 

Dan also gave a shoutout to Jelly Roll because of a social media post that he had made earlier that day. For those who don’t know, Jelly had made a post looking back at his fitness journey. Dan said, “The post he did was amazing. I was like, ‘Damn, that’s my guy.’ It was cool.” Meanwhile, Shay had praise not only for Jelly but also for his wife, Bunnie XO. He lauded the way that they had handled themselves in the week since the news of their divorce left country music fans shocked everywhere. He was quoted as saying:

“They’ve handled it with class. It’s a tough thing to go through very, very publicly. I mean, as married guys, if we had to go through something like that that publicly, it’s really tough on both parties, and they’ve both handled it well. We both want the best for them. They’re great.”

According to reports, Jelly Roll had cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for his split with his wife, Bunnie XO. Despite this, fans kept speculating, leading Jelly to break his silence on the divorce mid-concert during his show on June 18, 2026, which is a part of his Little ASS Shed Tour in Saratoga Springs, New York. Jelly told the audience at the time that it would be the first and last time that he would speak on the matter, and they should pay attention to it. He claimed that the internet is full of liars, as all they do is spread all sorts of misinformation.

Compared to what many had been saying, Jelly revealed that there is no bad blood between him and Bunnie. Not only that, he went on to call her his “best friend” and said that she would be “the only woman I will ever love the way I loved her.” The country singer even shut down all the rumours that there was a cheating angle, which led to him filing for the divorce. Jelly Roll’s exact words were:

“The internet is a liar, too. This is the only time and the only city I’m gonna speak about this, so break your camera phones out now. Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends. She will probably be the only woman I will ever love the way I loved her. Nobody cheated on nobody.”
