Bad news for the Philadelphia Flyers in their second preseason matchup. Goaltender Dan Vladar exited Tuesday’s game against the Boston Bruins with an apparent injury.
Aleksei Kolosov replaced Vladar at the 13:31 mark of the first period.

It’s unclear what injury the goaltender may have sustained, but based on video, it looks like it may have been something with his upper body. Specifically, his blocker side.

It’s unclear if Vladar will return to action on Tuesday, because as of this moment, Kolosov remains in goal. Given the nature of it being a preseason game, it would make little sense to have Vladar come back into action.
If the injury exit is more than precautionary, it would be a crushing blow to the Flyers early this season. Vladar was very clearly the team MVP during the 2025-26 season.

If injured, it makes the offseason acquisition of Joseph Woll all the more important.
