DGP Inaugurates Summer Camp For Children At TGPA

Hyderabad: DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy inaugurated a summer camp for children at the RBVRR Telangana Police Academy (TGPA) here as part of welfare initiatives for police staff and their families. According to officials, around 65 children enrolled for the camp, which is designed to provide a constructive and engaging platform during the summer vacation. The programme focuses on holistic development through a mix of physical, creative and intellectual activities.

Addressing the gathering, the DGP recalled his childhood experiences during summer vacations and highlighted the importance of simple activities in shaping values and character. He also suggested including Telugu language sessions, featuring poems and classical literature, to promote cultural awareness among children.

TGPA Director Abhilasha Bisht said the camp reflects the academy’s commitment to staff welfare and community engagement by creating a supportive learning environment. The camp includes activities such as swimming, yoga, painting, drawing and chess, with plans to expand into music, dance, drama and acting.
