Some stories live only in prayers whispered inside temple walls. This Navratri, Times Music Spiritual is pulling those stories out into the open. Divya Darshan, a new 10-part documentary series, premieres from October 12 and takes viewers deep into Himachal Pradesh’s most revered Shaktipeeths, the ten sacred Devi temples that have shaped the region’s spiritual identity for centuries

The format itself is what makes this one stand out. Rather than a straightforward travel special, Divya Darshan is an anchor-led, cinematic long-format series built around real conversations, with priests, local historians and researchers unpacking the lesser-known legends and age-old rituals tied to each temple. Expect fewer postcard shots and a lot more storytelling.

Viewers will journey across iconic shrines like Kangra’s Brajeshwari Devi, the eternal flame of Jwalamukhi, Chamunda Devi, and Chintpurni, alongside quieter, mist-shrouded mountain sanctuaries. Each episode captures traditional devotional chants, architectural marvels carved in wood and stone, and intimate interviews with generational temple custodians, bringing ancient Himalayan folklore and sacred customs vibrantly to life.

The project also comes with some serious institutional backing. It’s been made possible with special guidance from Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, Deputy Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, along with access and support from the state’s Cultural Ministry.

Agnihotri himself had warm words for the project. “Himachal Pradesh’s ancient temples and timeless traditions are central to our cultural heritage. I commend Times Music Spiritual for bringing these sacred destinations to a wider audience through Divya Darshan and promoting spiritual tourism in the state.”

Mandar Thakur, CEO of Times Music, echoed that sentiment, framing the series as something bigger than just religious content. “India’s temples hold stories that go far beyond their walls, carrying centuries of faith, history and tradition. With Divya Darshan, we aim to bring these stories to a wider audience through meaningful, long-format storytelling.”

With Navratri already setting the mood for devotion and reflection, the timing couldn’t be more fitting. Divya Darshan streams from October 12 on the Times Music Spiritual YouTube channel.
