The Wisconsin Badgers are facing a big challenge in their first Big Ten game of the season, as they’re heading on the road to face the No. 13 Penn State Nittany Lions for a Saturday evening game on Peacock.

Wisconsin and Penn State are both coming off their best performances of the year, with the former beating Eastern Michigan 54-10 and the latter beating Buffalo 55-13. Wisconsin had looked up-and-down in its previous performances, while Penn State hasn’t really been tested this year through three games.
This game will be a big litmus test for the Badgers, who have higher expectations this year after reportedly spending over $30 million on their roster for the 2026 season.
Heading into the week, the Badgers opened as 11.5-point underdogs. That has shifted a bit since. On Tuesday, the line was down to 9.5 points, although the Badgers are now 10.5-point underdogs, according to FanDuel. Currently, 63 percent of the bets placed have Penn State covering the spread.
Wisconsin looked much better last week, and it is expected to get Abu Sama III back for Saturday after he missed Week 3. Do they have what it takes for the upset?
