While the heatwave spells good news for our social plans this week, it can make working from home much more difficult than it usually is. Usually priced at £249.99, it’s now on sale for £199 and has a bladeless design which not only means it has a smooth, uninterrupted airflow, but also keeps it safe to use around pets and kids. How quiet it is is one of the main reasons this is great for WFH, as it keeps it non-distracting and you can have it running while you’re on calls without it interfering with them.
It operates at 29dB, and it has a dimmed display which means you can also use the Cool CF1 Desk Fan overnight for a comfortable night’s sleep. However Dyson shoppers have said the Cool CF1 Desk Fan is more than worth the price, with one writing: “Brilliant! Super quiet and such a relief in the hot weather, especially at night. Yes it’s expensive but worth every penny. Just so much better than any other fan out there. Easy to use whether it’s touching the controls on the fan itself or using the remote.”
Another said: “Really quiet despite being powerful. Great for nighttime. Lovely design.”
However one did disagree, saying: “Amazingly quiet and super efficient. Price is ridiculous.” Another wrote: “Disapointing, lacks airflow and over priced. Not much better than a £20 standard fan.”
however others loved the Cool CF1 Desk Fan , saying: “As one would expect from a Dyson, the fan is modern and sleek, functions beautifully with great oscillation options. I particularly like the way one can also change the direction up or downwards. The fan itself is very quiet. So quiet in fact that the only thing I did not like was the slight whirring noise when it’s oscillating. Good airflow for a desktop fan and would recommend it 100%.”
