Nancy Sinatra, 85, was quick to show her disapproval after President Donald Trump posted a video of her late father Frank performing one of his most iconic songs

Frank Sinatra’s daughter Nancy has hit out at Donald Trump after his tribute to her iconic late father. The 85-year-old is a vocal critic of the US President and was livid when he shared a video of the legendary singer singing his most famous song, My Way, at Madison Square Garden in 1974. on his Truth Social platform on Saturday.

A fan brought the post to her attention on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing, “Omg, @NancySinatra will not be happy about this. Trump goes against everything that Frank stood for. He was a big champion for equality and supported the Civil Rights movement.”

She responded, simply saying: “This is a sacrilege.” After another fan asked if there was anything she could do to prevent the politician from posting the icon’s work, she replied with the bad news, saying: “Unfortunately, no. The only people who can do something are the publishers.”

Nancy previously insisted her father “loathed” the Republicans, and she commented on a video of ICE officers confronting construction workers earlier this year. She wrote: “This is not my father’s America. He would be devastated. Trump is so wrong in so many ways.”

Someone then told her: “Your Dad would have loved Trump” but Nancy bit back: “Do some homework before you make a fool of yourself. My dad LOATHED Trump.”

Nancy is one of Frank’s three biological children, born during his first marriage to Nancy Barbato. Nancy Jr. (born June 8, 1940) is the oldest of the group, and she has one late brother, Frank Sinatra Jr. (January 10, 1944 – March 16, 2016), and one sister, Christina “Tina” Sinatra (born June 20, 1948).

Nancy’s mother was married to Frank for roughly 12 years, from their wedding on February 4, 1939, until their divorce was finalized in 1951. The former couple split in September 1950 following his affair with Ava Gardner, but they remained friends for the rest of their lives. The music legend passed away at the age of 82 years old on May 14, 1998, after suffering a heart attack.

Trump shared no further context as to why he was sharing the song, some believed it could be him hinting at declining health. This comes as the clip that the 79-year-old politician chose to share began with the lyrics, “And now, the end is here / And so I face the final curtain.”

In July of 2025, Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), which is a condition that causes blood to pool in the lower limbs and leads to swelling. Outside of this, many have also raised concerns over Trump’s patches and bruises on his right hand, which the White House has claimed is due to his frequent handshaking.
