From actress Julia Doyle has left fans wondering how they recognise her after appearing on Season 4 of the MGM horror
Horror fans are convinced they have seen From star Julia Doyle before.
The young actress is currently starring in Season 4 of the MGM series, which is set in a terrifying town that traps everyone who enters. Its residents try to find a way out but they must dodge scary creatures that come out at night in the process.
Doyle plays Sophia, a seemingly innocent pastor’s daughter who arrives in the town during a moment of chaos. But the truth about her character has become unclear.
The new season already has four episodes available to stream now, with a fresh instalment set to drop on Sunday, May 17. As fans are tuning in, many have been left wondering why Doyle looks so familiar.
Although she is an industry newcomer, horror fans likely recognise the Gen Z celebrity from the 2023 comedy Hell of a Summer.
She played a camp counsellor named Miley, whose summer plans are interrupted by a killer lurking on campgrounds and attacking volunteers one by one.
The film was co-written and directed by Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard, alongside actor Billy Bryk. The duo also starred, with the likes of Doyle serving as their supporting cast.
If this film doesn’t ring a bell, you may know Doyle as mean girl Candace Powell from Astrid and Lilly Save the World.
The Canadian teen drama follows high school outcasts Astrid (Jana Morrison) and Lilly (Samantha Aucoin), who accidentally open a portal to an alternate dimension and must battle foreign creatures to save the planet.
The actress has also appeared in sitcom Workin’ Moms and period drama Murdoch Mysteries.
A synopsis for From Season 4 teases: “The closer the residents of town get to the answers they seek, the more terrifying their search becomes. Who is the Man in Yellow, and what does he want?
“Will Jade and Tabitha’s revelation be the key to finally going home? How much longer can Boyd hold the town together, even as his body and mind are falling apart? And what role will the town’s most recent arrival play in the events to come? Season Four will open doors that some in town will end up wishing had remained closed.”
From Season 4 is streaming now on MGM+
