Gemma Collins has told fans that she was sent another sick note from a stalker, with the television star claiming that the person also attended her late mother’s funeral
Gemma Collins has received another twisted letter from a stalker. The reality star who found fame on ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex has been subjected to brutal letters sent to her from an anonymous person.
The 45-year-old recently thanked police for their support regarding the matter after she was sent rat poison and dog poo to her home. Gemma also claims that the person responsible for the letter claims to have attended the funeral of Gemma’s late mother, Joan.
Joan had been suffering from pneumonia when she died in July this year, aged 70. Gemma has made a series of Instagram posts dating back to Tuesday about a number of letters she has received, with the notes featuring abusive comments about her body image, her relationship with fiancé Rami Hawash and her home, while also claiming: “I’m watching you.”
In a post on Saturday, she said: “Another letter, even worse they sent a letter just after my mum’s funeral claiming to be there. Justice is coming.”
Her post was soon flooded with messages of support. Real Housewives of Cheshire’s Nicole Sealey said: “Vile person sending love.” Tanya Bardsley added: “Creepy little coward. Hope you’re ok @gemmacollins.” Another person said: “Gemma this is just so scary and upsetting. I want to say keep being your beautiful wonderful self but I can imagine that’s incredibly hard to do with this going on.”
In earlier posts, she claimed the stalker had “an obsession with Rami having another child”. This claim, however, is unfounded. A post on Tuesday read: “I’ve been dealing with something very upsetting behind the scenes. I’ve been receiving some truly nasty and deeply personal letters, and what makes it even more shocking is believing they may be coming from someone very close to us.
“I’ve stayed quiet because I don’t believe in reacting out of anger, but there comes a point where boundaries have to be drawn. Everything has been kept, documented and is being taken seriously.
“To anyone who thinks sending anonymous cruelty, rat poison, dog poo, into someone’s home is acceptable, it isn’t. Words have consequences.
“I’m choosing peace, protection and truth. Thank you to everyone who continues to send me love and kindness. It means more than you know.
“I also want to say a huge thank you to the police, CID, forensic teams and everyone involved who has taken this matter seriously and treated it with such care and professionalism.
“When something like this happens, you realise how important it is to feel protected, listened to and supported. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone working behind the scenes.”
Following the posts, she was supported by a number of celebrity friends, including fellow former The Only Way Is Essex star Jess Wright, who posted: “This is horrific Gem.”
Essex Police said: “In June 2025 we opened an investigation into reports of stalking and harassment in the Chelmsford area.
“Items had been sent to the victim, a woman aged in her 40s, which were seized and analysed. As part of this work, a woman aged in her 30s was arrested. She was interviewed and released on bail until November.
“We’ve remained in consistent contact with the victim over the last 15 months and we continue to pursue a number of lines of enquiry.”
